ACMH, INC. seeks a Peer Program & Certification Specialist to provide direct home-based services and to assist peers in obtaining New York State peer certification, aligning with recovery and empowerment goals.

You will teach daily living skills, monitor housing stability, document progress, and collaborate with staff to ensure quality support. The role requires lived experience and strong communication; salary is $52,683 with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health or related services and commitment to peer recovery goals.
• Completion of NYCPS certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; basic computer/data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct home-based services and assist peers with certification processes.
• Teach daily living skills such as personal hygiene, budgeting, meal planning, and housekeeping.
• Monitor apartment safety, maintenance, and overall living conditions.
• Document services rendered and client progress in a timely manner.
• Facilitate groups and report incidents or changes to supervisors.
• Support self-advocacy and recovery goals to reduce emergency service contact.
