RiseBoro Community Partnership in New York seeks a Mentor to provide supportive services to individuals and families, focusing on tenants aged 18–25, using Credible Messenger approaches to help complete service plans.

The role includes conducting life skills assessments, one-on-one sessions, collaboration with staff, documentation, coordinating TAG, and facilitating independent living skills while accommodating evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• It is preferred to have a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree is desired.
• Some experience with community organizing and/or tenant organizing and planning is preferred.
• Experience or training in peer support.

Responsabilités

• Perform Life Skill and Needs Assessments for new tenants to evaluate basic needs.
• Conduct 1-on-1 sessions to ensure service plan goals are met.
• Coordinate the Tenant Advisory Group (TAG) and plan monthly meetings.
• Document all interactions in the database and complete reports.
• Assist with independent living skills and future-oriented housing goals.
