Job summary

Duke University’s Pediatric Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit (DCT 4A) in Durham is seeking a skilled registered nurse. The role involves planning, providing, supervising and documenting professional nursing care for a diverse pediatric population, including transplant, cell therapy, oncology, and metabolic/genetic disorders.

The ideal candidate will have 1:1 or 1:3 nurse-patient ratios, a passion for teamwork, accountability, and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higher; NC RN license required.
• Current NC Board of Nursing registration or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to document assessments and plans of care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per orders and policies.
• Use nursing judgment to tailor care to each patient’s baseline needs.
• Deliver care to pediatric oncology, transplant and metabolic/genetic disorder patients.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other care providers.
• Lead a patient-focused nursing team and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff.
