Albany Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Pediatric ED. The role supports nurses and physicians during care, performs tests and procedures, and helps manage acutely ill or unstable patients in a Level One trauma-capable department.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of ED tech or EMS experience. Strong communication and punctuality are essential in this team-focused role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year previous experience as an ED Technician and/or EMS experience is desired.
• Honest, punctual, and adheres to high ethical standards as defined by Albany Medical Center and the profession.

Responsabilités

• Assist with resuscitation and CPR and emergency airway procedures.
• Perform venipuncture to obtain blood specimens.
• Assist physicians and nurses providing technical support for patient care.
• Record patient condition and relay information to supervising staff.
• Assist with transport of patients to other departments.
• Assist with obtaining and documenting vital signs, cardiac monitoring, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
