Job summary

Foundation Health is seeking a Pediatrics Clinic Registration & Scheduling Representative to greet patients, collect insurance data, and schedule appointments. You will verify details, enter data accurately, and support financial counseling for families in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1+ year of related experience, with strong customer service and multitasking skills. Notary license and prior hospital registration are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of related work experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy medical office.
• Notary license and registration experience preferred.
• Medical terminology experience preferred.
• Prior hospital registration and prior authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-registration/registration processes, verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorizations and notifications. Calculates patient liability according to verification of insurance benefits, collects deposits and copayments. Accurately and completely documents all information into the patient records system to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Obtains all necessary signatures and documentation required by the patient's insurance plan. Conducts patient visits for bedside registration as assigned to expedite completion of registration.
• Provides financial counseling and explains policies; assists patients with financial assistance paperwork when appropriate.
• Acts as liaison between patient, billing, payor, and care team to optimize receivables and resolve issues.
• Communicates with physicians, clinic staff, and HIM to resolve issues and meet patient financial needs.
• Meets productivity standards; maintains production logs and identifies process improvements.
• Provides various patient and financial services tasks; may transport patients, train staff, and handle deposits as part of Patient Financial Services.
