Job summary

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics in Wexford, PA is hiring a Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office operations and weekend/evening hours. You will greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information, while also scheduling follow-ups and helping families navigate services.

In this role you will register patients in Biometrics, promote the MyUPMC portal, verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.
• Proficient typing skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
• Support patients in navigating the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
• Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
• Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
• Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
• Weekend and evening availability to support hours of operation.
