Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs by handling clerical duties, patient flow and procedures. You will prepare exam rooms, assist during visits and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR.

The role emphasizes delivering patient-centered care, coordinating with care teams, and maintaining accurate medication lists and allergies. A valid MA or phlebotomy program credential and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or better.
• Graduation from an accredited MA or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and ensures proper preparation for visits.
• Documents appropriately in the EHR and reviews medication lists.
• Assists with orders, referrals and scheduling in PMS/EHR.
• Adheres to safety precautions and maintains equipment.
