Job summary

Mercy Clinic Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at the Old Tesson Road location in St. Louis, MO.

This is a full-time, 36 hours per week role focused on welcoming patients, handling registration, scheduling, and patient financial services. The PSR will support front-office operations, maintain accurate records in Epic, and ensure smooth check-in/out processes while upholding HIPAA and Mercy policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to manage front desk tasks and basic data entry.
• Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner.
• Verify patient identity and demographic information.
• Complete patient registration and appointment check-in/check-out processes.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Create and maintain accurate electronic health records in Epic.
• Process mail, scan documentation, manage RightFax communications, and perform general clerical duties.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Mercy policies.
