Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support a busy pediatric department. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, and assisting clinicians under supervision.

You will work within a safe environment, follow infection control procedures, and handle administrative duties to keep operations efficient. A high school diploma and completion of an accredited MA program are required; BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant training program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in basic delivery of patient care under supervision, using age-appropriate standards.
• Completes designated tasks/orders from providers and documents vitals.
• Demonstrates competency in phlebotomy skills, injections, and spirometry when directed.
• Performs administrative duties to promote efficient operations, including front-desk tasks and charting.
• Adheres to infection control, safety protocols, and OSHA guidelines.
