Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Medical Assistant, Primary Care to deliver direct and indirect patient care in a pediatric office under supervision. You will support clinicians, assist with exams, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.

The role requires a high school diploma or MA program graduation; BLS within 30 days, and CMA/RMA/CCMA or similar credentials within six months. EMR proficiency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality patient experience and infection control.
• Take and document patient vitals in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist clinician during examinations.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation; educate patients/parents.
• Maintain vaccine cold chain and assist with related procedures.
• Administrative tasks: referrals, follow-ups, calls, and patient forms.
