Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Medical Assistant to support all department disciplines and deliver safe, patient-centered care. The role includes basic patient care under licensed clinicians, accurate vital signs, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited medical assistant program, and relevant pediatric experience. Certification in CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a medical assistant training program.
• Certification options CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA are listed as acceptable credentials.
• 1 year pediatrics experience preferred including vitals, assisting clinical staff, phlebotomy, specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic patient care under licensed professionals, using age-appropriate standards and infection control.
• Take and document vital signs accurately during intake and care processes.
• Demonstrate competency in phlebotomy, injections, and radiographs under physician direction as needed.
• Support administrative tasks to keep department operations efficient and patient-focused.
