Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor cardiac rhythms, record data, and promptly report abnormalities to the medical team. You will apply age-appropriate care from neonate through adolescence and maintain cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients and families.

The role requires completion of a telemetry technician program, a high school diploma, and training in Cardiac Monitor Technician, with additional certifications such as CPR/BLS and crisis

Qualifications

• Completion of telemetry technician program with proof of certificate or equivalent documentation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Cardiac Monitor Technician Training within 30 days of hire.
• CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 1 month of hire.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 3 months of hire.
• Experience in telemetry: minimum 1 year; basic computer familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, record pertinent data, and report abnormalities to the medical team.
• Apply knowledge of age-related differences for patients from neonates to adolescents.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in interactions with coworkers, patients, and families.
