Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital seeks a Cardiac Monitor Technician to manage telemetry equipment and monitor patient rhythms in a fast-paced setting. The role includes clerical support, medical records management, order communication, and charge posting, with coordination of ancillary testing and procedures.

You will report rhythm status to the charge nurse and/or physician, document findings every shift, and maintain the telemetry log.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous Monitor Tech/Telemetry experience preferred.
• Competency Test is given annually.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry equipment and manage related clerical tasks.
• Provide medical records management, order communication, and charge posting.
• Coordinate ancillary testing and procedures.
• Obtain and relay patient rhythm reports to the charge nurse and/or physician.
• Document rhythm status every shift and maintain telemetry logs.
• Interact professionally with the health care team to meet patient needs.
