Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to support the OR. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, with BLS required and NBSTSA/NCCT certification preferred.

The position is 24 hours per week with a weekend/on-call rotation. Responsibilities include aseptic technique, instrument setup, and assisting the RN circulator while maintaining room turnover and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military training in surgical technologist/operating room specialist.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and assists in preparing and organizing supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assists RN circulator in patient preparation, instrument assembly, and room turnover.
• Performs duties according to department policies and procedures and documents charges.
• Monitors sterilization activities and ensures supplies are used efficiently.
