Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist for night shift coverage. You will support aseptic technique, prepare and organize supplies, assist with patient prep, instrument handling, and room turnover in a fast-paced operating room setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current BLS for Healthcare Providers, and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program. NBSTSA/NCCT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required or successful completion of military training in Surgical Technology or OR Specialist.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in aseptic technique and setup for surgical procedures.
• Assist RN circulator in prep of patient and assembly of supplies and instruments.
• Monitor sterilization and document charges.
• Participate in policies, procedures and room turnover.
