Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols. The role supports a 0.9 FTE schedule with weekend requirements and 72 hours per pay period.

Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating discharge planning, and educating patients and families while upholding the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required within 5 years of employment.
• RN license and BLS certification required within timeframes; PALS within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Communicate patient condition to the care team.
• Coordinate discharge planning with patient/family and team.
• Educate patients and families based on age and culture.
• Follow Nurse Practice Act requirements.
