Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, following hospital policies and nursing protocols.

This role requires an RN license in Kentucky, BLS within 45 days, ACLS/ALS and PALS within 12 months, and an Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing with a Bachelor's to be earned within 5 years. Weekend 7p-7:30a, 0.9 FTE, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire; Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years of employment.
• RN license in Kentucky required upon hire; BLS required within 45 days; ACLS/ALS required within 12 months; PALS required within 12 months.
• Work experience: No experience required.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Educates patient and family based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
• Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
