Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in alignment with organizational policies and protocols. You will monitor patient conditions, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure orders are carried out accurately.

The role involves discharge planning with patients and families and delivering education tailored to age, culture, and learning willingness, all while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• RN license (KY) required upon hire
• BLS certification required within 45 days
• Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with policies, procedures and protocols.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Coordinates care with all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
• Performs duties in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act.
