Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The position is 1.0 FTE with work hours of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 7:30 AM-5:00 PM.

The role emphasizes coordinating patient care, implementing and monitoring care plans, and educating patients and families while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Kentucky required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of employment.
• Associate's degree or higher in nursing or nursing diploma required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Coordinates discharge planning with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Educates patient and family based on age, culture and learning needs.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
