Job summary

New York Community Home Care in Brooklyn seeks a dynamic Speech Language Pathologist for home-based pediatric cases. Part-time and full-time positions with a base salary of $125,000 are available, plus medical/dental, 401k after 3 months, 27 PTO days, 10 holidays, and fee-for-service options at $100 per 30-minute session.

Door-to-door car service is offered for commute. Licensed NYS SLP required; ASHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed NYS Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• ASHA Certification preferred or required.
• Experience with pediatric home-based care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Develops a plan of care with goals for restoration and maintenance.
• Performs SLP procedures to achieve goals.
• Instructs patients, families and health team on speech-language techniques.
• Maintains patient records and discharge summaries.
• Works with health team to shorten recovery and manage disability.
• Creates progress reports and documents visit frequency and length of service.
• Chats with nurse every two weeks to discuss progress.
• Re-evaluates patients as needed and documents outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and emergency duties.

Education

New York State Speech Language Pathology License (Required)

ASHA Certification (Clinical Competence)
