Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse to join the A4S department in Location A. This regular, 0.3 FTE role supports patient care and safety in a rotating shift environment under a part-time schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an active Ohio RN License; BSN is preferred. Compliance with CMS standards and ongoing professional development are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio is required.
• BSN is preferred but not required.
• Foreign graduates must have license validated per Ohio requirements.

Responsibilities

• Compliance and safety: maintain regulatory requirements and certifications, ensure safety standards met, communicate concerns to leadership.
• Systems thinking: view patient/family in unit context, support care coordination and safety compliance.
• Clinical judgment: collect data, follow protocols, document care, ensure age-appropriate care and teaching.
• Clinical inquiry: pursue practice improvements, participate in reviews, seek help in unusual situations.
• Interprofessional practice: collaborate with interdisciplinary team in shared decision making.
• Advocacy and inclusion: respect patient rights and cultural needs in care delivery.
• Patient care: deliver age-specific and culturally inclusive nursing care.
