Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution requires 2+ years of experience.
• Preferred: BSN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN.
• Active Ohio RN License. May be required to obtain other state licensure.
• Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMeritTM per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.

Responsibilities

• Compliance - understand regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; support leadership in compliance efforts.
• Uses systems thinking to view patient and family within unit; monitor safety and departmental policies; communicate concerns to leadership.
• Clinical judgment when performing care - collect data, follow protocols, document plan of care and outcomes.
• Clinical inquiry & performance review to improve practice through standards, coaching, and learning experiences.
• Collaborates with team using shared decision making; participate in shared governance at the point-of-care.
• Interprofessional Practice - integrate IPM in all aspects of practice.
• Advocacy and inclusion - consider patient rights and cultural inclusivity in care.
• Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Inclusive - tailor care by age and development.
