Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a House Supervisor to provide administrative nursing leadership for patient care and operations. The role oversees staffing, patient placement, and issue resolution, serving as on-site administration in off-hours.

The position requires RN licensure, a nursing diploma/associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), and 2–5 years of nursing experience with 1 year in a leadership capacity. Night shifts with weekend rotation are included.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience; 5-10 years preferred.
• 1 year charge nurse or related leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 management oversight including patient placement and staffing.
• Supervise delivery of safe patient care and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate services between departments and administration.
• Develop and monitor staffing, revenue and expense budgets.
• Hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance and provide coaching.
