Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a nurse leader to support Gen Med I and II units. This full-time role focuses on people, process, and patient care, with oversight of staffing, payroll, and care plans.

Qualifications

• RN license required.

• Prior leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and staffing for Gen Med I (GI) and Gen Med II (Renal/Endocrine).
• Hires, trains, assigns work, and evaluates performance; lead professional development.
• Oversee payroll updates, time cards, and scheduling alignment.
• Develop and implement plans of care with age-appropriate interventions.
• Ensure staffing levels meet departmental goals and budget considerations.
• Conduct performance reviews and coaching as needed.
