Job summary

Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital in Michigan is looking for a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Care Unit 5S/5CE/5C at Royal Oak. The role supports patient-family centered care on nights from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a 24-hour weekly schedule and variable days.

The RN will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and adhering to magnet-designated standards of care.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing Required
• Bachelor's in Nursing Required within 5 years if new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required or if new grad within 60 days of hire
• AHA, ARC, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire/transfer
• PALS required within 1 year of hire/transfer
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
• 1 year of acute care RN experience required. Highly Prefer Pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
• Provides patient-family centered care.
• Documents education and learning in the health record.
