Job summary

The DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Care Services Team for night shifts. The RN will lead and coordinate patient care for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include establishing physician relationships, delegating and evaluating care, and preparing patients for discharge while maintaining high standards of safety and communication.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities
