Job summary

HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pediatrics unit on the night shift. The RN performs the full scope of nursing care, including assessment, planning, and administration of medications and therapies, with a focus on family-centered care and safe patient outcomes.

Requirements include 1+ year pediatric nursing experience and an AZ or compact state license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of pediatric nursing experience.
• Active RN license in AZ or a compact state.
• BSN in progress within 60 months or 5+ years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow ANA standards and code of ethics in nursing practice.
• Document patient history, assess, and assist with diagnostics and care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor IVs and therapies.
• Educate patients and families on illness, home care, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
• Precept and mentor nursing staff and students as needed.
• Contribute to ongoing clinical knowledge and quality improvement.
• Ensure safety, effectiveness, and cost-conscious care planning.
• Develop and evaluate standards of care using evidence-based practices.
• Maintain current nursing practice knowledge and adapt to policy changes.
