Qualifications

• Three years experience in clinical Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• One additional year with progressive leadership experience in specialty units required.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC).
• Current Texas Medical Board Respiratory Care License required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and BLS Certifications.
• Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty certification required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and administers patient care during the assigned shift.
• Assists staff in all aspects of Respiratory Care.
• Develops and monitors unit-specific systems to improve care quality.
• Supervises and monitors work of all Respiratory Care Practitioners.
• Assists with employee evaluation.

Education

Completion of a two-year CoARC approved respiratory care program
