Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso seeks a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner to join the Respiratory department on the night shift. You will assess, treat, and monitor patients with pulmonary needs using ventilators, airway management, and chest therapies.

Requires Texas license, NBRC registration, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and AMA-approved respiratory care education. Prior adult and pediatric experience preferred; ability to work independently in a critical care setting is

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care.
• Current Texas Respiratory Care License required and NBRC Registered.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• One year of experience in adult and pediatric respiratory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, manage, and care for patients with pulmonary deficiencies.
• Utilize ventilator support, airway management, and respiratory therapies.
• Perform blood gas analysis and sputum collection as part of patient assessment.
• Provide care to adult and pediatric patients in a critical care setting.
