Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN Pediatrics to join our team. You will provide age-specific respiratory care under supervision, ensure safety, and support department protocols in a high-volume hospital setting.

Required clinical experience and NBRC-RRT certification, plus timely completion of ACLS/BLS/PALS as applicable. Strong documentation, assessment, and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have prior clinical Respiratory Care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS or equivalent certifications required within set timelines.
• NBRC-RRT certification and state licensure expectations.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work and complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Complete documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrate airway care competency including suctioning and extubation.
• Assess patients and interpret respiratory function and needs.
• Perform quality control procedures as required.
• Possess professional conduct reflecting SDH values and ethics.
