Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.

You’ll work with advanced respiratory technology and a supportive team to deliver evidence-based care. You’ll assess respiratory status, manage ventilation and airway support, educate patients and families, maintain equipment, and follow infection-prevention standards to ensure safe, high-quality care

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date
• NBRC-RRT credential
• RRT/RCP-State credential
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status by performing focused exams and interpreting breath sounds
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance techniques
• Manage ventilation and airways; assist with invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Educate patients and families; act as clinical resource and collaborate with physicians/nurses
• Maintain and sterilize respiratory equipment; ensure readiness and infection prevention standards
