Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to enable students with disabilities to participate in educational programs by providing appropriate therapy services.

The role requires collaboration with school staff, families, and other service providers, supervision of paraprofessionals, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position is based in Maryland and involves travel within the county to school sites.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Licensure from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Knowledge of educational physical therapy.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise students and paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess students to determine therapy needs and recommend strategies.
• Determine adaptive equipment requirements.
• Provide therapy services as prescribed.
• Consult with school personnel, families, and other providers.
• Supervise and train paraprofessionals and graduate students.
• Assist in transition planning and accessibility modifications.
