Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Austin, TX. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for drug screens, enter patient data, process billing, and prepare specimens for testing. Travel to additional sites may be required.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year or more phlebotomy experience including pediatric phlebotomy, and certification or training is preferred. Labcorp provides comprehensive benefits and a strong commitment to equal opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• 1 year or more pediatric phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
