Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist for an onsite contract role in Austin, TX. The position requires experience with blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, and maintaining specimen integrity per protocol. Pediatric and geriatric experience is required, with phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as phlebotomist in lab or hospital setting.
• Pediatric & geriatric experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge and decontaminate according to procedures.
• Collect, store, and document specimens per test orders and protocol.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required for testing.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain proper temperatures during handling.
