SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label specimens, and manage specimen handling in Reston, VA. The role operates on a contract basis with potential for permanent placement and involves responding to physicians’ orders accurately.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and proper transport of samples. Pediatric experience is required; OSHA/DEP regulations must be followed; benefits are available.

Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state.
• Minimum 6 months' venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, and package specimens per test orders and transport rules.
• Ensure accuracy of requisitions against patient scripts and transport to maintain sample integrity.
