Management Performance Associates is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Reston, VA. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper transport and chain of custody of samples. The ideal candidate will have phlebotomy certification and relevant lab experience.

Schedule includes 8am-4:30pm weekdays with some Saturdays, and duration is approximately 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipunctures.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Explain procedures to patients in a courteous manner.
