Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture accurately and safely.
• Label specimens, centrifuge, and store as per procedures.
• Document maintenance data and decontamination activities.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
• Answer calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
