United Future in Austin, TX seeks a contract Phlebotomist (5874) for a 3-month project with potential for permanent. Schedule: M-F, 8am–5pm. Pediatric-focused role requiring 3–4 years of pediatric venipuncture experience and proficiency with hard sticks.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, maintaining records, and complying with OSHA/DEP regulations. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Update patient information and decontamination.
• Package specimens and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer phone calls and communicate lab results to inquiries.
