Job summary
Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse for part-time, in-person work in California. You will provide nursing care in the immediate postoperative/post-anesthesia period and assess patients in the recovery room, ensuring safe care aligned with the surgical plan and anesthesia type.
Ideal candidates hold a California RN license, nursing degree, and BLS; ACLS/PALS are required within 60 days.
Qualifications
- Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Knowledge of the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
- Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room.
- Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
- Monitoring patient and informing dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.
