Job summary
Blue Cloud is recruiting a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric ambulatory surgery center team. You will provide nursing care in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period and monitor patients in the recovery room.
Candidates must hold a current California RN license, graduate from an accredited nursing program, and be proficient in the nursing process. BLS is required; ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire).
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
- Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room.
- Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
- Monitoring patient and informing dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.
