Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our pediatric ambulatory surgery teams. You will provide care in the immediate postoperative and post-anesthesia period, ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 60 days. Preferred candidates have a BSN and perioperative or ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• BLS required at hire; ACLS and PALS within 60 days.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in nursing; ICU or perioperative experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and anesthesia.
• Monitor patient and inform dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.
