Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Windermere, Florida, is hiring a Patient Services Specialist II (Primary Care) for a full-time role. You will handle patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front-line customer service within a pediatric primary care setting.

The role requires high school completion and 1–3 years of experience in healthcare or a call center environment; travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school).
• 1–3 years of experience preferred; healthcare or medical office/call center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone lines promptly and courteously.
• Register patients and coordinate scheduling with appropriate paperwork.
• Collect, verify and maintain patient insurance information, including authorizations and referrals.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and balances; perform end-of-day balancing.
• Schedule patient visits, manage no-shows and cancellations; prepare charts.
• Triage and manage electronic communications; scan documents into EMR.
• Coordinate release of information and medical record requests.
• Ensure coding information is complete on billing documents.
• Travel to other primary care locations as needed.
