Job summary

Nemours is seeking a Patient Services Specialist II for the Primary Care team in Windermere, FL. This full-time role is responsible for greeting and assisting families, registering patients, and coordinating appointments with physicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–3 years experience preferred.
• Healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
• Travel to other primary care locations for coverage is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone lines promptly and courteously.
• Collect, maintain and verify patient registration information.
• Coordinate all necessary paperwork for registration, scheduling and physician visit.
• Collect insurance information including authorizations and referrals; balance end of day.
• Schedule visits, manage no-shows and cancellations; confirm appointments with patient/guardian.
• Scan paperwork into EMR and update patient charts; manage electronic communications.
• Coordinate release of information and medical record requests.
• Ensure coding information is complete on billing documents.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
