Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a part-time patient care assistant to support the PICU team. The role involves assisting with Plan of Care under RN supervision, supervising activities of daily living, and helping maintain a safe, organized environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities include fast documentation, communicating status changes, and aiding with charting and supplies. CPR training and Ohio CNA/STNA credentials fulfill the required qualifications, with a 0.6 FTE expectation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent must be obtained with eligibility for one of the listed credentials.
• Completion of a medical/surgical clinical rotation from ACEN/CCNE/NLN-recognized program is acceptable.
• OSHA/CPR training or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: provide approved care and assist with interventions under RN supervision.
• Supervise ADLs and assist with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain safe, organized environments; follow infection control policies and safety rules.
• Provide administrative support and assist with charting, orders, and orientation of new staff.
