Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a night shift, full-time position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities include implementing Plan of Care, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting team members under RN supervision.

The role may involve 1-on-1 observation and de-escalation of patients and visitors. A high school diploma and CPR training are required, with relevant clinical rotation or CNA/STNA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of medical/surgical clinical rotation from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited program, OR listed on STNA/CNA registry.
• CPR training required and maintained.
• 1+ years of patient care experience within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist in implementation of interventions under supervision of RN.
• Supervise and assist patients with activities of daily living and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Offer assistance to co-workers after completion of duties and help with crisis control/de-escalation of patients and visitors.
• Assist with patient transport and may assist with 1 on 1 patient observation as needed.
