Job summary

The Chaplain at Children's Hospital Colorado provides spiritual care and crisis support to patients, families, and staff on inpatient units, collaborating with the palliative care team. This role extends to telehealth across eight-state region and, eventually, in-home visits.

You will participate in education about grief, bereavement, and end-of-life topics, lead crisis debriefs, and work with faith leaders to support diverse populations and align with departmental objectives.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity with pastoral counseling or theology
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education at an ACPE accredited teaching center
• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) eligible; certification within 2 years of start
• Endorsement for Ministry in a Hospital setting or Ordination certificate within 2 years of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides spiritual care, counseling, and crisis intervention to patients, families, and staff.
• Leads crisis debriefs and coordinates with resources for staff spiritual resilience.
• Collaborates with palliative care team and faith leaders.
• Educates on grief, bereavement, and related topics within hospital and research settings
