Qualifications

• Master of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree in theology, religious studies, pastoral counseling, or spirituality.
• Complete four units of clinical pastoral education (ACPE accredited).
• Ordination/commissioning and ecclesiastical endorsement for healthcare chaplaincy by a recognized body; provisional certification acceptable.
• One year of healthcare ministry experience as staff or volunteer.
• Experience addressing spiritual distress and collaborating on interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the spiritual, emotional, religious, and educational needs of patients, families, staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate spiritual care.
• Offer staff support through events and rounds.
