Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO seeks an Associate Chaplain to provide spiritual care, counseling, and crisis intervention for patients, families, and team members. The position requires a Master’s level education and ACPE education; on-call duties; collaboration with the care team; and participation in departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Divinity, Pastoral Counseling, Theology, or related field.
• Completed at least one ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education unit.
• Ability to provide spiritual care across diverse faiths.

Responsibilities

• Assess the source of internal strength for patients, families, and team members.
• Perform religious rites, services, and collaborate with community faith leaders.
• Collaborate with staff chaplains to assess the need for crisis debriefing and coordinate with resources for staff spiritual resilience.
• Provide spiritual care materials and support staff resilience and compassion development.
• Provide spiritual services aligned with departmental objectives and strategies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and projects.
