Job summary

THERAPY 2000 in Texas is seeking a pediatric Occupational Therapist to join a mission-driven team delivering home-based therapy to children, helping them grow and thrive in familiar surroundings.

You will perform OT evaluations, develop treatment plans, and create home exercise programs with families while coordinating care with other clinicians and agencies. A Texas license is required and mileage reimbursement, a company laptop, and ongoing education opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Current active license to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• Demonstrated reliability and innovative thinking.
• Flexible to reallocate resources as needed.
• Proficient with common workplace technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
