Qualifications

• Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics is required.
• Eligibility for certification by the ABC is required.
• Must be registered to practice as a Student Prosthetist/Orthotist in Texas (TDLR).

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and fit prosthetics and orthotics under supervision.
• Gain exposure to diverse orthotic and prosthetic systems during residency.
• Develop patient-specific O&P treatment objectives with evaluating techniques.
• Take impressions, scans, and measurements for devices.
• Fabricate orthoses and prostheses and communicate materials/ measurements to staff.
• Provide follow-up assessments on device efficacy and fit.
